Winner of the AIB Solicitor of the year award 2017 for Connaught/Ulster Breege McCaffrey is an Honours graduate (Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) and Bachelor of Laws (Honours) degrees from the National University of Ireland, Galway) and was admitted to the roll of solicitors in March, 2006. She has worked with D.M.O’Connor & Co continuously since then.
She deals with Conveyancing, Wills and Administration of Estates, Family Law and personal injuries. Her particular area of expertise is in Employment Law and she holds the Law Society Advanced Diploma. She represents Employers and Employees, advising on Contracts of Employment, Organisation Handbooks, Redundancy, Grievances and Disciplinary Investigations and appears at the Labour Relations Commission, the Employment Appeals Tribunal, the Equality Tribunal, the Workplace Relations Commission, the Labour Court, the Circuit Court and the High Court. Her special interest in Gender Equality has resulted in success in a number of high profile cases in recent years.
